With the terrible news of the sinking of the Costa ship .We feel we would like to warn anybody thinking of booking a cruise with this company. To think again ,we had a cruise in 2007 on the Costa Serena on the same holiday from Savona which we boarded at Barcelona on the 2nd day into the cruise .There where only about 34 of us British who joined the ship,the rest where all Italian passengers. The Italian passengers had their evacuation drill on the first day .We actually did not have our drill until the last day ! of our holiday when returning to Barcelona .should such a tragedy have happened to us . We would have had no idea of the procedure ,since returning and speaking to the Captain of another shipping company we where informed that it was against the law to sail before evacuation drills

We didn't enjoy the cruise and vowed we would not sail with Costa again.
