The cruise was a disaster. Costa had to sail out of Trieste instead of Venice and lost crowd control. Dealing w Italians and Germans who behave like poorly, pushing and shoving with no sense of order and decorum, was ridiculous. And their behavior never improved. The disembarkation was just as poor & Costa had no excuse this time. If they would just enforce a queue.... Food good, ship nice, waiters and room attendant great, entertainment amateurish, help desk argumentative (tried to con us on the 'required automatic tip' [even lied that it was a required tax!] and it took me showing them the contract from Travel agent to prove they were wrong), nickel and dimed you at every turn. When I got sick and could not make a tour on Malta, the only way I could get my 49€ back was if I paid the doc on board 52€ to certify me sick.
Likelihood of ever doing Costa? Nil. Another cruise? Probably not. I was a first timer and this turned me off. Costa should change their name to Costly.
Positives of Cruise
Stopping at Dubrovnik and Pompeii. Food good. Cabin cleaner good and pleasant.
Negatives of Cruise
Crowd control! Enforce queue. More time in port. Real entertainment. My four year old grandaughter dances better than these guys.
