NEWS: The Costa Concordia has run aground near the island Isola del Gigli' of the coast of Italy.
Costa Concordia is committed to bringing the best and most convenient facilities to its passengers so that they have the cruise of their dreams. Elevators eliminate the need for walking up and down stairs on the ship and there are cabins designed for disabled passengers. Families with children can delight in the chip’s program for different age groups in its Spuok Club. Here the children can interact with those of their own age group playing with the toys, engaging in games and other activities, such as arts and crafts classes. Teenagers can attend parties, play video and computer games and just hang out with their newfound friends. All the activities are planned and supervised by qualified staff so that parents can engage in adult activities. The Costa Concordia features a Formula One simulator where you can try your hand at driving a race car along the track. In the spa you can have a facial or have your hair done. There are computer stations where you can check your email or surf the net. If you are not that into technology yet, you can also avail of the classes so that you can communicate in the manner of the 21st century. Take in a few lectures by the experts on a wide range of topics, such as the upcoming ports of call. ![]() If you like to read, you don’t have to make sure you have a good stock of novels with you because there is a large library on the Costa Concordia featuring all genres of literature. You may even want to read some of the travel or reference books on the various ports of call that are part of your cruise so you will know what to expect on your shore excursion. Although the dress code of the Costa Concordia is mainly casual, there are two formal nights during the cruise. However, the majority of passengers on this ship are European and they tend to dress casually on those nights as well. There is no need to bring a ball gown or a tuxedo. There is also a shopping area where you can pick up souvenirs or any essential items that you forgot to bring with you. |
